Malelane Rugby Club’s second team were victorious in their match-up against Ngodwana in Malalane on Saturday. The tough match resulted in several injuries but the players were determined not to give up. The final score was 24-20 in Malelane’s favour.

The annual Selati Big 5 MTB race in Komatipoort saw over 300 riders, from casuals to serious professionals, compete on routes winding through the local farms on Saturday morning. Irrigation made some roads muddy and riders arrived at the finish line splattered from head to toe. Several riders made some great time speeding along the flat track.
Nkomazi’s cleanest and greenest schools were rewarded for their projects to protect the environment at the Nkomazi Cleanest Schools Competition. The awards ceremony was held at Elangeni Lodge near Kamhlushwa last Thursday.
