Hard-working pupils of Kaapmuiden Primary were rewarded for their achievements throughout the year during the school’s annual prize-giving ceremony on Friday morning.
The two houses of Riverview Prep School had the chance to compete on stage last night. The Hornbills presented Beauty and the Beast with a twist, while the Rollers performed a quirky version of Cinderella. The costumes were great and the dialogue had parents and the younger pupils roaring with laughters. The Rollers were crowned the evening’s winners by a panel of judges.

Pupils of Riverview Prep School, Laerskool Malelane and Kids Paradise were dressed in spring clothes and made hats or shoes depicting a spring theme last Thursday and Friday for Spring Day and Arbor Day. Besides planting trees, competitions were held to reward pupils for their creativity and effort in making and decorating shoes, hats or dressing according to a spring theme.
Beacon College celebrated Beacon Day on Friday with a talent show for the whole school. Pupils recited poetry, danced, sang and even modelled for a chance to win a prize and to entertain friends and fellow pupils.
Riverview Prep’s juniors treated parents to an adventure on the high seas with their annual concert. Pirates versus Mermaids told of the rivalry between the two groups and how they came to understand each other better.
Pupils of Beacon College Primary showcased their public speaking, singing and drama skills at the school’s cultural evening on Friday. The hall of NG Malelane was packed with proud parents and family members who enjoyed the entertainment.
